Work began by establishing laboratories Authority in Erbil and was dedicated to the examination of food laboratories.
Labs directorates standardization and quality control in the rest of the provinces of the region and established in Sulaimaniya and in Dohuk. Then conference with the Ministry of Health which was held to assign the task of checking imported food to the Ministry of Health.
And the authority’s concern was limited  to work on the rest of imports.
